Rachel Rothenberg was born in Edison, New Jersey. She holds degrees in English and Lusophone literatures from Tufts University and Brown University, and is currently a PhD Candidate in Creative Writing at the University of Rhode Island. A recent winner of the Greg Grummer Poetry Prize and the Nancy D. Hargrove Editors’ Prize in Poetry, her work is featured or forthcoming in Best New Poets, Poetry Northwest, Shenandoah, phoebe, Jabberwock, Raleigh Review, Salt Hill, and elsewhere. She is the Senior Associate Editor at Barrow Street Press.
